What an amazing weekend! As always, we had an incredible conference with around 400 delegates coming from Urca, Barra, EARJ, German School Corcovado, Maple Bear, from Macaé, and PASB, from Salvador, Bahia!
We would like to congratulate every single GoMUN member who put an effort into the conference: The first-time delegates who learnt a lot and will be more confident in future MUNs; The experienced delegates who continued to impress with their competence and excellence; The delegates who managed to break personal records and reach that longed-for Best Delegation; The first-time chairs who were simply amazing. Thank you for continually impressing us. We are very proud of you all. Keep up the good work because GoMUN will only get better. All the best, The GoMUN Team Awards

TBSRJ MUN is finally here! We hope you are as excited about it as we are. Today we have the Opening Ceremony at 17h, followed by the first committee session at 18h to entertain opening speeches and - possibly - start debate (or a mock debate for Junior committees) Over the course of this weekend we will keep you updated on the conference and hopefully post some highlight photos. Good luck! Conference Schedule:Hello, all!
We hope you are well underway in preparation for TBSRJMUN. Just as a reminder, Position Papers are due next Monday (22nd) for ALL committees. Position Papers are a vital part of MUN as they are generally the first impression chairs and other delegates will have of you and your country's views. If you would like to have some feedback to improve them, please e-mail your drafts to [email protected] and we would be more than happy to help! We would also recommend taking a look at our Research page to find useful websites that contain useful information about specific countries and policies, as well as Position Paper guidance. Finally, make sure you have joined your committee's Facebook group and you have access to Study Guides at the TBSRJMUN page. All the best, The GoMUN Team By Pedro Carvalho The French election, this Sunday, will be a decisive event in determining the future of the European Union.
Amid the contenders for the 6-year term leading the Fifth French Republic are Marine Le Pen, running under the populist, eurosceptic and nationalist agenda of Front National, and Emmanuel Macron, the centre-left (although he calls himself centrist, "neither of the right nor of the left") former Minister of the Economy under the Hollande presidency. Macron is running under a pro-European and pro-Globalisation platform in his newly formed party, En Marche. Macron and Le Pen have emerged successfully from the first round of voting, and are off to confront each other in an exciting battle for the second round, to take place on the 7th of May. Hey delegates (and chairs!) I hope you are all excited for TBSRJ MUN XV, taking place from the 26/05 to the 28/05 at the Barra Site. If you haven't yet signed up, you can do so by contacting the Secretary General, Maria Eduarda Penteado ([email protected]), Mr David Williams ([email protected]) or Mr Philip Briggs ([email protected]). This year's 15th edition promises to be the biggest so far, with ten committees, including the JCC. Below, we have compiled a list of the committees and topics. Hurry because many committees are getting full!
We hope you all sign up and take part in this conference! Buses will be available for Urca students to go to Barra - more information on that with Mr Williams. Keep an eye out for study guides. We will keep you updated as we have more information!
- The GoMUN Team Finally, after a lot of planning, we are officially launching GoMUN!
It is our immense pleasure to invite you to be part of this unique opportunity to improve your skills in several aspects of Model United Nations. GoMUN has developed a holistic long-term learning platform that pushes students to excel beyond their goals, from public speaking to resolution-writing, and from delegate research to chair training.
